When designing his Cauny, the 2011 Pritzker winner had three goals in mind: the dial had to show the time clearly, the case had to be "as thin as possible" and there could be no gaps between the strap and the case. There are a thousand and one ways to fulfill these criteria, but no other would be as elegant.
