Discover the Legacy of CAUNY
Founded in 1927 in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, by the Grebler family, CAUNY has been a symbol of timeless elegance and craftsmanship for nearly a century. Mireille Grebler, the youngest of the siblings, became one of the first women to lead a watch brand—steering CAUNY with vision, determination, and a deep respect for quality.
From the very beginning, CAUNY stood out by combining Swiss precision with refined design, earning recognition throughout Southern Europe and Latin America. The brand’s watches became cherished companions for life’s milestones, known for their reliability, style, and cultural significance.
During the 1950s to 1970s, CAUNY watches were popular gifts for graduations, birthdays, and anniversaries—especially in Portugal and Spain. The introduction of the Cauny Prima in 1953 marked a defining moment, setting a new standard in elegant and accessible timepieces.
Today, CAUNY remains faithful to its heritage while embracing innovation. Recent collaborations with world-renowned architects like Álvaro Siza and Eduardo Souto de Moura have led to unique collections such as The Architects of Time, which fuse architectural minimalism with horological craftsmanship.
As CAUNY approaches 100 years of history, it continues to celebrate its legacy—creating watches that are more than instruments of time: they are stories, memories, and personal symbols, worn with pride.
